In the Amsterdamse Pijp you will find a small place with a chapel, a room for socializing, and a bookstore. Here you can acquaint yourself with the spiritual treasures of Orthodox Christianity. The Orthodox way of life is marked by the will to shake off the chains of the world, the struggle against the passions, and the will to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and defend it.

Path of Valaam wants to make accessible the rich Christian life, lost in the West but maintained in the East, to all who feel that society has but little to offer to our souls. It opens its doors to those who hunger for spiritual inspiration in this time of materialism and self-glorification.

Path of Valaam attempts to offer an open and welcome atmosphere where the deepest questions of life can be contemplated. Where by prayer answers are sought to these questions inspired by the abundance of Divine Wisdom, given to us by Jesus Christ.

Inspired by the monks from the Valaam monastery in the North of Russia, whose lives and deeds reflect the power of God to transform the lives of people, Path of Valaam wants to distribute spiritual literature and inspiration from the rich Tradition of the Orthodox Church.

Path of Vlaam is an organization independent from any churchly organization and only works with volunteers.
